Bar charts and column charts are very similar: both use rectangular bars to display data values, but the difference lies in their orientation. Bar charts usually display the data with a horizontal bar whereas column charts use vertical bars. If your data categories have lengthy titles, you might get a better fit with a horizontal bar chart, but a column chart can be more intuitive to read if you are comparing how values change over time. You can use whichever type suits your data best and everviz allows you to switch between the different types and compare their appearance. Don’t forget, you can also preview how the different options will be displayed on different screen sizes before you make your decision.
It is very easy to add your everviz interactive chart to your website and no coding knowledge is required. Once you have created and customized your chart you will select “Publish”. Under the heading “Embed to your page” you will find a line of code that you can copy and paste directly into your website or blog. This will ensure your chart displays perfectly for every user who visits your page. Alternatively, you can access a link to share your chart directly or you can download a static image version.
With everviz, you have many different options to create the exact bar chart you are looking for. To create a stacked bar graph you should create a new project in the everviz dashboard and select ‘Stacked bar’ under chart type. You can choose whether to show the data as absolute values or as percentages of the total. Next, add your data and select the template that most suits your needs. If you wish to make additional customizations, you can use the ‘Continue in Editor’ which allows you to change any element of your chart. For example, you might want to adjust the tooltip, so it shows all stacked series in the same label.
